#1 Homemade chalk
Who said our make-up powders were only for little faces? Melanie from @pepperberrykisses absolutely nails the creativity here, as she makes natural chalk using our vibrant colours and simple ingredients out the pantry.
Want to let your little artists' imaginations run wild with this delightful activity? Here’s what you’ll need:
- Oh Flossy eyeshadows and face paint powders in your colours of choice
- Cornflour
- Bicarbonate soda
- Water
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Moulds or empty toilet paper rolls (cut in half lengthwise)
Mixing Up the Magic:
In a mixing bowl, combine equal parts cornflour and bicarbonate soda. Mix well to ensure they are thoroughly combined.
Adding Colourful Charm:
Add a small amount of Oh Flossy makeup powder to the dry mixture. Choose your fave colours and experiment with different combinations to create a variety of vibrant shades. Stir until the colours are evenly distributed. For a wintery feel go with our teal, blue and white shades.
The Perfect Consistency:

The Marbling Process:
- Gather your materials: Choose the items you want to marble, such as mugs, hair clips (check out Kmart for some affordable options). Make sure they are clean and dry before starting.
- Pour water into a container: Fill a shallow container with room-temperature water. Ensure the water level is sufficient to fully submerge the item you're marbling.
